(Rebecca Chiu,

(Katherine Cheng ,悉尼)This music camp was beyond my expectation. I thought it would be a time to develop on our technical musical skill. Surprisingly, we only touched our instruments on the last day of the camp. I saw that “singing through the land” was not all about the musical skill. Instead, it starts from the readiness of my spirit through living out “4-long, 1-short and 1-listening”. I saw how I lacked in the “1-listening” in my daily life.
Particularly with the arrival of Chinese Hymnals 17 and 18, I saw how many precious truths are being revealed to the church. I felt a burden to know these truths more. So I started to listen to Hong Kong messages after the camp. I yearn to know more of how these hymns come about before I play them and share them to the world.

(Louis Ip,悉尼)I give thanks that I have had this opportunity to join the Music Camp 2018 in Hong Kong. It was an eye-opening experience to see that the Lord will greatly use us in this ministry for His will. Before I went to the camp, I was not sure what to expect and what I wanted to gain from the camp, I just knew that I wanted to learn more from brothers and sisters about how to serve God in music. I give thanks that the Lord revealed to me the importance of the heart and spirit when it comes to music ministry. The “person” is more important than the “techniques”. During the camp, we refreshed our training in the “4 long 1 short” to place ourselves daily before the Lord and I felt that this helped us to enter into a song and express the emotions within the song easier.
I was also impressed by the Friday concert, where we only had a very limited time to practice and rehearse the songs. But I felt that brothers and sisters truly sang from their heart and touched the heart of God and, also touched the hearts of brothers and sisters.

(Bryan Wong,倫敦)Before coming to this camp, I was not sure what to expect but I really give thanks during the camp I gained a lot and experienced the presence of God. I am someone who is very self-conscious, easily worried and can easily accuse myself. At first, I was expecting a lot of musical training or workshops but in fact there were a lot of spiritual training. Through the trainings and worship, I was able to enjoy the truths easily and let the truths affect me. Therefore, I was able to worry less and be set free to enjoy the Lord’s presence. After the camp, I felt that I am a lot closer to God. In the past I felt that having music is a bonus and did not realise the importance of it. Now I realise more that it can help to bring out the truths from the song and also help brothers and sisters to enter into the truths.
Also, it is a great joy to be able to pursue with so many brothers and sisters from all over the world who has the same heart for God. In the end it is not our music ministry that brought us close together, but it is the love of God. The Lord really desires us to be like David who sings and worships Him! In order for this family to be more and more glorious, we really need each other and not to rely on one person. After the camp, I want to continue to enjoy the truths and to understand what I can offer to the Lord in music. It’s precious we can be God’s finishing team! Let us sing through the world together!

(Mario So,多倫多)During the music camp, the Lord confirmed to me again how blessed we are that the Lord has revealed so many truths in our midst. Our hymns are truly precious and should be shared to others (non-believers and other Christians). How precious the Lord revealed the way of David's Tabernacle to us. We can use hymns to worship Him freely in spirit and in truth. Our hymns contain many precious truths in a summarized form.
The spiritual pursuit and training we had during the day at the camp reinforced the importance of living with God daily. I was reminded about the importance of having a deep and daily relationship with the Lord in order to participate in music ministry.
Lastly, I was very touched and impressed by the worship concert we had on the last day of the music camp. Many brothers and sisters involved in music ministry across the globe led brothers and sisters (present in person or via broadcast) to enter into worship through many new precious hymns. I felt the work of the Holy Spirit among us and how the melodies and different musical instruments brought forth the emotions of the truths in the hymns. Even though there was not much time to prepare, brothers and sisters who may have only met during the camp were able to work in unity to prepare the hymns. Through this I also felt the unity of this global family and church that is after God's heart.

(Jessie Tang,,多倫多)I really treasure that I was able to join this music camp in Hong Kong with so many brothers and sisters. There were many unforgettable moments and precious memories from pursuing together and having fun together. I really experienced God's presence in many of our meetings and gatherings. My eyes have been opened to the importance of music ministry, and how we should use music to bring others to enter into and enjoy God's love. I was very impressed by brother Fish's messages, especially when he reviewed the Old Testament and the number of times it mentions music. The Lord really wants us to sing to Him and worship Him. I've also realized even more how precious our hymns are. They express the most important truths in the Bible; truths that so many in the world do not seem to know or understand, which is why the Lord has truly commissioned us to be the ones to share it. We really need to sing through the world for Him! I hope to equip myself well and continue to improve in spirit, in music, and in health. Brother Lion's words impacted me very much; we should aim to be the best so that we can offer the very best to the Lord. I am very excited for the path ahead and for the music work down the road!

(Jennifer Tran,多倫多)I give thanks that I can join the global music camp. It changed what I thought was music ministry. It is more than just coming together to play music (jamming). Through the camp I realized that the key in music ministry is our spirit, our heart of worship. Coming into the camp, I was confused why there wasn't as much time scheduled to play music or sing (jam) but soon I realized through the messages that God is most satisfied when we come before Him with music (moreso then just displaying our musical skills), when we are close to Him, our music becomes more influential. I was also really encouraged by the brothers and sisters in the music ministry in Hong Kong; their passion to practice and improve in their musical skills for God. This really inspires me to improve more and keep practicing for Him, to give my best to Him when I return. Though there are so many talented brothers and sisters in the music ministry, I also saw the unity amongst them. When we had a worship concert at the end of camp, I was touched by how everyone came together to sing and play music to worship God, though each had different skills but together were used to glorify Him. This really open my eyes to see what music ministry is really all about.
The path ahead is so exciting that I treasure to be able to take part in music ministry and to be able to give God want He wants most!
